Alorna Abafado 5 Year

For a dessert wine, the 5-year aging really shows—it’s smooth and rich without being syrupy. I’m enjoying it with dark chocolate, and the 700 ml bottle is a perfect size for sharing. The Tejo region character comes through nicely.

The dark ruby color alone made it feel special, and the fortified sweetness paired perfectly with a simple cheese plate. Five years of aging really shows in how smooth and rich it pours, and the 700ml bottle was plenty for two of us.
