Aperitivo Cocchi Americano 750ml

The gentian and quinine give it a bitterness that keeps the honeyed Moscato from getting too sweet, and that citrus zip on the finish is what sold me. I've been drinking it over ice with a strip of orange peel, and it disappears way faster than I planned.

I've been making it my pre-dinner pour lately, and the honeyed citrus is such a lovely counter to the bitter gentian. Even just chilled on its own it feels refreshing and a little special. This bottle won't last long.

The gentian bitterness keeps this from being too sweet, which is exactly what I want in a summer drink. I've been drinking it over ice with a twist of grapefruit and it's dangerously easy to finish the bottle.
