Averna Amaro 750ml

The licorice and orange peel really come through, with a nice herbal bitterness underneath that keeps it from being too sweet. I've been sipping it neat after dinner and it's become my favorite wind-down drink.

I was expecting pure bitterness but the orange and licorice notes really soften it out. Poured it over ice as a nightcap last week and the rosemary and sage finish kept me coming back for another glass.

Sipped this neat after dinner and the bitterness is genuinely pleasant, not harsh like some amaros I've tried. The myrtle and juniper come through underneath, and a small pour coats the mouth for a good while.
