The rich leather and fig notes really come through on the finish—complex without being harsh. I’ve been sipping it neat and each pour reveals a new layer of caramel and toffee.

The nose alone is worth it—deep roasted nuts and chocolate that follow straight into a rich, sticky date and fig finish. It drinks closer to a refined bourbon than a typical cognac, which is exactly what I was hoping for, and the leather note on the tail keeps it interesting to the last sip.

I poured a glass after dinner and the nutty, fruited nose hit right away, then the dates and toffee came through smooth as could be. It drinks a lot like a good bourbon, but with that extra layer of leather and chocolate that keeps you going back for another sip.
