Opened it with dinner and the quartz veins really come through on the finish—surprisingly complex for the price. The old vines give it a depth that made it stand out from other Portuguese reds I've tried.

The schist and granite soil really shows up in the glass, giving this a minerally edge I wasn't expecting from a Portuguese red at this price. The old vines bring a depth that makes you want to drink it slowly, and it handled a chill beautifully. I'm already planning to order another bottle for the

I opened it for a simple weeknight dinner and was blown away by how the old-vine concentration shows through without being heavy. The schist and granite minerality really comes through on the finish.
