This wine has that lovely smoky minerality the description promises, and the chocolate note really comes through on the finish. I was surprised how smooth the tannins are for a Cabernet Franc, it's incredibly drinkable right now.

That bell pepper note is exactly what I look for in a good Cab Franc, and the soft tannins make it dangerously easy to drink. I opened a bottle with steak and the chocolate and smoke undertones really came through nicely. This Uruguayan version is a welcome change from the usual Chilean reds I grab.
