Whisky Kurayoshi SAN-IN Bourbon Barrel 750ml

That extra kick from the higher proof is really smoothed out by the bourbon cask finish, making for a surprisingly sippable pour that still has some warmth. The maple and vanilla are there, but it's the long, clean finish that impressed me most.

The maple syrup and vanilla on the nose really come through, and the higher proof cuts through the sweetness without losing that bourbon cask warmth. Poured it over one big ice cube after dinner and the finish lingered just long enough to make the glass feel worth every penny.

The higher proof gives it a nice kick, but the bourbon cask finish smooths it out into a rich, warm tail. I poured a glass after dinner and the vanilla and maple came through beautifully on the finish, not just the nose. Definitely a bottle I'll be grabbing again.
