I was really impressed by how the black currant and plum flavors come through without being too sharp. The tannins are firm but smooth enough to enjoy now, though it could probably age a bit too. A solid Bordeaux blend that doesn't try too hard to be fancy.

The earthiness on the finish really balances out the black currant and plum nicely—not too heavy but still has structure. My guests kept asking what we were drinking and I had to admit I got lucky with this find.

Opened this with dinner and the firm but balanced tannins made it a great match for the steak, no need to decant for hours. The vanilla note comes through nicely on the finish, while the black currant and plum stay front and center. Plenty of character for the price, and it drinks smooth right now.
