Gnarly Head 1924 Double Black

This red blend has a nice dark fruit note without being too jammy, and the 14.5% alcohol gives it a smooth warmth. I opened it with a casual dinner and it held up nicely to the meal. Definitely a solid value for the bottle size.

This dark red blend has a nice weight to it, perfect for a cozy evening. The alcohol is noticeable but not harsh, and the finish lingers just long enough without being too sweet.

Opened this after a long week and the dark, jammy depth hit exactly right — it's a 750ml bottle that somehow disappears faster than it should. The blend is smooth enough to sip alone but bold enough to stand up to a steak, which is all I really ask from a California red.
