The peach syrup note on the palate is exactly as described—smooth and sweet without being cloying. Poured a couple fingers over a single ice cube after dinner and it made the orange and ginger pop beautifully.

The Oloroso sherry casks really shine through—that toffee apple note lingers long after each sip, and it's smooth enough to drink neat without flinching. I've had pricier whiskeys that don't deliver this kind of honeyed warmth.

I was a bit skeptical about the peach syrup note, but on the palate it’s surprisingly smooth and well-balanced with the biscuit. The finish is long and warm without being harsh.
