Planteray Barbados 5yr Rum 750ml

I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth this rum is on its own, even before mixing. The vanilla and warm spice notes really come through nicely in the finish.

The double-aging process gives this rum a silky texture that makes it dangerous to sip neat. I’m picking up serious vanilla and a hint of tropical fruit that lingers nicely.

The cognac cask aging really shows in the finish—it’s long and elegant without any harsh burn, and the warm spice lingers just right. I’ve had it neat and in a simple mixer, and it holds up beautifully both ways.
