サンズ・オブ・リバティ ピーテッドウイスキー

The peat smoke on this one is bold but not ashy, more like campfire embers than a punch in the face. It holds up neat, though a few drops of water really open up the sweetness underneath.

I was worried a peated whisky at this price would taste like straight campfire, but it's surprisingly smooth with a nice mellow smoke that lingers just enough. Poured it neat over a single ice cube and it held up great.

The peat is bold without being ashy, more like smoked salt than a bonfire. Sipped it neat and the finish lingers a good while, though I'll probably add a drop of water next time.
