Opened this after a long week and the violet aroma alone was worth it—so floral and fresh. The acidity cuts through pasta nicely, and the tannins are mild enough that I didn’t need to decant it for hours.

That black cherry note is front and center from the first sip, but the medium body keeps it from being too heavy. Perfect with a simple pasta dish last night.

The violet note really comes through on the nose, and the black cherry follows right on the palate, making it a classic Sangiovese that’s easy to enjoy. I poured a glass with pasta and the moderate tannins kept it from feeling heavy, which is exactly what I wanted for a weeknight bottle.
