Opened this with a friend who usually only drinks California cabs, and even he was impressed by how well the Bordeaux blend balanced the dark fruit and earthy notes. The finish was surprisingly long and smooth for the price point.

Had this with a steak on Saturday and the blend really held up nicely against the meat. The tannins were smooth but still had enough structure to stand out.

Opened a bottle last night with dinner and the blend is genuinely well put together, with a nice balance of dark fruit and that classic Bordeaux earthiness. It’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a St. Émilion that doesn’t need years in the cellar to be enjoyable.
