The fruit really comes through on this one, much more than I expected from a Valpolicella. It held up beautifully with a hearty ragu, just like the description promised. A solid choice for when you want something richer than the classico.

Poured this with a big plate of lasagna, and the extra body from the ripasso process really held its own against the richness. It's got that deep, dark fruitiness that makes a simple Sunday dinner feel a bit special.

Was looking for a red that could stand up to my lasagna without being too tannic — this Ripasso hit exactly that sweet spot, full fruit but smooth. Definitely a step up from the standard Valpolicella.
