That leather and cedar note in the finish was a pleasant surprise—it added a nice layer of complexity to the bright red fruit. The tannins are just firm enough to give it structure without being harsh, perfect with pasta.

The bright red fruit aromas really pop after it opens up for about 20 minutes, and the tannins are present but not harsh—makes for a very easy-drinking red.

The leather and cedar on the finish really round out those bright red fruits nicely, and the tannins are firm but not aggressive. I opened it with a simple pasta dinner and it held up beautifully from first glass to last. Exactly what I want from a medium-bodied Nebbiolo.
