The second barreling really shows—that marshmallow and caramel note is front and center, with a nice red fruit kick underneath. Poured neat after dinner and it drank way smoother than the 5.5-year base would suggest. Definitely grabbing another bottle before it disappears.

I was skeptical about the double-barrel aging, but the caramel and marshmallow notes are incredibly smooth. This bottle has a rich, layered finish that made my old go-to taste one-dimensional.

That second barrel really does something—the marshmallow and caramel come through smooth without any harsh burn. Tastes richer than a lot of 7-year bottles I've tried.
