La Sirene De Giscours Margaux 2018

The Cabernet Sauvignon really shines here, with those blackberry and olive notes coming through beautifully. After letting it breathe for about an hour, it opened up perfectly.

Opened one last weekend and the blackberry and truffle notes hit right away, but the texture is what got me—silky and settled, no sharp edges. It's got that 2018 ripeness but the bottle age has rounded it out perfectly, so it drinks beautifully now without needing to wait.

The black olive note really comes through on the finish, and the tannins have softened beautifully after a few years in the bottle. It’s drinking perfectly right now, so I’m glad I didn’t wait any longer to open it.
