Pedra Alta Pedra a Pedra Douro Red

This wine really opens up after about twenty minutes in the glass, the dark berry and plum flavors get nicely balanced by a smooth, earthy finish. It’s full flavored but not too heavy, perfect for a weekday dinner.

Poured a glass last night and the fruit-forward character hit right away—raspberry and plum with a nice earthy finish. The blend of indigenous grapes gives it a complexity that’s hard to find at this price point. Definitely grabbing another bottle for the weekend.

The schist soil really comes through in the structure—it’s got that firm, terraced-vineyard grip without feeling heavy. I grabbed it for a casual dinner and the blend of indigenous grapes made it easy to sip, full-flavoured from the first glass to the last.
