Taconic DUTCHESS 750ml

I was a bit skeptical about a 90-proof bourbon being smooth, but the vanilla finish really comes through without any burn. Perfect for sipping neat after dinner.

The spice notes hit first, but that honey-vanilla finish lingers just long enough. At 90 proof it's got enough kick without burning, and five years in the barrel really rounds out the flavor. Best bourbon I've grabbed in a while for sipping neat.

The honey and vanilla really come through on the nose, and that five-year age shows in how smooth the finish is for 90 proof. Opened it for a quiet Friday night and it disappeared faster than I’d like to admit.
