Finally, a gin that isn't just pine and pepper—this one has a gentle, earthy complexity I've never found in a mass-produced bottle. The finish is surprisingly smooth, and it makes a mean martini without needing a ton of vermouth.

The botanicals in this one are perfectly balanced—juniper comes through clean but not overpowering. I've been using it for martinis and it makes a noticeably smoother drink than my usual bottle. Glad I took a chance on this staff pick.

Poured it over a rock with a twist of orange and the botanicals opened up beautifully—smooth enough to sip neat, which is rare for me with gin. The 750ml bottle is a solid size for stocking the bar, and the Rhode Island character comes through without being too aggressive.
