Paolo Scavino Barolo

I was curious how blending fruit from seven different vineyards would taste, and the result is wonderfully complex without being heavy. The tannins are already integrated nicely after just a short decant.

Poured a glass after an hour in the decanter, and the blend of seven vineyards really shows its depth—layered and structured without being heavy. A fantastic value for Barolo that drinks well now but will clearly improve with a few more years in the cellar.

The nose opened with classic tar and dried rose, and the body is surprisingly giving for a young Barolo, the seven-cru blend making it complex without being harsh. Paired it with braised short ribs and it sang for hours. I’ve already ordered another bottle.
