Byrrh Grand Quinquna 750ml

I was skeptical about a wine-based bitter, but the port-like base really mellows out the quinine—it's smooth enough to sip neat over a big ice cube. The lemon peel brings out a nice herbal note, and I've already gone through half the bottle with mezcal pairings.

The bitter quinine and port-like wine base make this a really unique sipper. A splash of tonic and a wedge of blue cheese on the side turns it into a perfect evening.

Tried this on ice with a lemon peel and a splash of tonic, and the bitter quinine mixed with the port-like wine base is a perfect balance. It was much smoother than I expected for a bitter cordial. Definitely my new go-to for a unique pre-dinner drink.
