After decanting for an hour, that ruby color opened up into a beautiful bouquet of wild berry—exactly what I was hoping for from a proper Sangiovese. The dry, austere palate paired perfectly with my pasta, and it’s already mellowing nicely after just a few days in the cellar.

Opened this with a long-matured cheese and the austere palate cut right through the richness. Those wild berry notes lingered nicely on the finish. Definitely ordering another bottle for the cellar.
