Old Overholt BONDED Rye Whiskey 750ml

I was a bit skeptical at first, but the 100 proof gives this rye a nice bold kick in cocktails without being harsh. The mouthfeel is noticeably richer than the standard 80 proof version I used to buy.

The extra proof really comes through in the mouthfeel, giving this rye a nice warm kick that the 80-proof version just lacks. Perfect for a bold old fashioned.

I was curious how the bonded version would compare, and it delivers a noticeably fuller body that really stands up in a Manhattan. The 100-proof kick is there, but it’s smooth enough to sip on its own too.
