This wine has that lovely smoky minerality the description promises, and the chocolate note really comes through on the finish. I was surprised how smooth the tannins are for a Cabernet Franc, it's incredibly drinkable right now.

That bell pepper note is exactly what I look for in a good Cab Franc, and the soft tannins make it dangerously easy to drink. I opened a bottle with steak and the chocolate and smoke undertones really came through nicely. This Uruguayan version is a welcome change from the usual Chilean reds I grab.

I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth the mineral character makes this Cab Franc, especially with the subtle chocolate and spice notes lingering after each sip. The ripe fruit and soft tannins give it a balanced finish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.
