Song Cai Spiced Roselle Gin 700ml

I was expecting something closer to sloe gin but the amaro bitterness sneaks up on you, which I actually love over ice. The dried cherry and cinnamon notes really come through after it opens up. A year of maceration was worth it.

That deep ruby color is gorgeous in the glass, and the dried cherry and cinnamon come through just as described. You can really taste the year of maceration — it's smooth and warming, perfect for slow sipping on a cool evening.

The dried cherry and cinnamon notes come through way more than I expected, and it's not cloyingly sweet like some sloe gins I've tried. Been sipping it neat after dinner and it's dangerously easy to pour a second glass.
